Braves vs Rockies

The Braves were in town this past weekend so that means Take me out to the ball games!  If you don't know- DJ is a huge baseball fan & the Braves are his team!  So when they come to town, it's time to take in some baseball.  DJ went to all three games (Friday night, Saturday night & Sunday) me and the kiddos went to the Saturday & Sunday games.  We were also lucky to have Julie come over from Grand Junction & join us for Saturday nights game!! It was super great to see her, a definite positive to living in CO is being closer to our friends in GJ. Thanks for coming over Julie! The kiddos were a little undecided on who to cheer for-- Daddy's favorite team- Braves or the home team- Rockies.  Julie had bought the kids Rockies t-shirts so they all wore their Rockies gear Saturday night & mostly cheered for the Rockies with Julie.  Austen did wear a Rockies shirt with his Braves hat :)  On Sunday they mostly cheered for the Braves.
On Saturday night we had GREAT seats!  DJ got them from work, we were 12 rows from the field on the 3rd base line (visitors side).  Great spot to watch the game.... & Chipper, my favorite Braves player, 3rd baseman.  There were SO many Braves fans, you would have thought we were in Atlanta!
On Sunday we met some of our new Colorado friends at the game.  Hope & Patrick and Rachel & Justin, both couples have 2 boys, ages 5 & 2.  Our seats for Sunday's game were Left field.
All the games were good!  It was a 3 game sweep for the Braves (meaning the Braves won all 3 games) Both Friday & Saturday nights games the Braves were down in the first 1/2 of the games, but rallied to come back & win.  They were ahead the whole game on Sunday.
Go Braves!

Playdate at the park

Enjoyed another great day at the park!  We are finding a few great parks to play at out here!
I'm bummed the pictures are kinda blurry..... I think I need a new camera!  But at least I got a few pictures of the kids playing.
I have to say it was a bit warm for me (86 degrees), but every once in a while there was a breeze to save the day.  I did sunburned one of my shoulders.... not sure how I did that.  I guess next time I need to remember to rotate :)
The heat didn't seem to bother the kids- they ran all over for a good couple of hours, we did run out of all the water we took!
