T-Ball game 1

Kiddos 1st T-ball game!  They all did GREAT!  and looked super cute :)
Yeah! We are signed up for T-ball!!  It took forever for me to get someone to call me back about t-ball!  But finally someone did..... the kiddos are signed up a bit late, they have already missed 4 games, but it's a long season, so it's no big deal..... except their shirts are a bit too small & they don't have team hats yet, but that's OK!

We had practice last Saturday morning & then their first game tonight!

A played 3rd base and did a good job batting, C played left field and also did a good job batting, B played "pitcher" (but didn't pitch cuz it's t-ball) and got a lot of balls hit to her.... she went after them!  Including once diving to get the ball & scuffing up her elbow, but she loved every minute of it!  B also did a good job batting!

A & C were excited to play t-ball, B was a little unsure, so I'm glad coach Jeremy put her in a spot to get some balls, she had a blast and is glad she decided to play!

C up to bat & giving me the thumbs up

B up to bat & looking sassy in the dugout

you can see she is really concentrating, her tongue is out :)

Snow White & Beauty and the Beast

This afternoon we went and saw The Dwarfs & Snow White and Beauty & the Beast plays.
They were put on by Audience of One down in Littleton (Audience of One is a Christian based Performing Arts program for children and teens living in the Denver Metro area)
Both plays were very good!  Snow White was ages 5-7, the little girl playing Snow White was 5 and she did a great job!  Beauty & the Beast was ages 8-13ish and was also very good.  All the kids in the play sang so very well.
The first play was called The Dwarfs & Snow White because they had a lot more than 7 dwarfs and I liked that they had a bunch of different songs in it-- one was from Toy Story (You've got a friend in me) and there was also a song from Annie.  It was very cute.
My favorite thing about Beauty & the Beast was it was VERY much like the movie.... some lines were right out of the movie.  I think that helped keep the kids interest.
The kids really liked both plays also and they like intermission when they got goodies :)

Brooklen's Bite!

Something bit Brooklen!  We really don't know what it was, but she was bit & had a HORRIBLE allergic reaction!!  She was bit on Wednesday, the bite was raised a bit and red, but nothing out of the ordinary.  She does always have a worse allergic reaction to bug bites than the other two, but nothing like this one ended up looking like!
Then on Thursday when we were out for lunch- it got HUGE!  It swelled up like a goose egg and was warm to touch.  Right after lunch we went to the pediatrician.  (only good thing out of this is we had to find a pediatrician!)  The Dr. looked at it & said it wasn't infected, she was just having an impressive allergic reaction to the bite.  Dr. drew a line around the redness, said to give her Benedryl & said if it went out of her pen markings to bring her back in for possible infection.....or if red lines were streaking up her arm to take her to the emergency room.

On Friday, the redness went out of the pen markings & it was still really warm to touch so we went back in & the Dr. drew another pen mark.  Gave her antibiotics & said to continue with the Benedryl & all should be better by Saturday & just continue to get better.  But, if any red streaking up the arm =  emergency room!
By Saturday her arm was much better & Sunday/Monday it was looking back to normal!  Still don't know what the heck bit her!  It gave me a pretty good scare!  So much that part of me wants to get an epipen in case she has a horrible reaction to another bug bite or a bee sting!!

Swim Lessons

The kiddos are in swim lessons!  I was really excited to get them in swim lessons before summer even starts.  They took lessons once in Iowa, but there is a neighborhood pool and I need them to be better at swimming for me to be semi comfortable taking them by myself this summer.
I'm hoping to get them into a second session maybe the beginning of July (when tball is over)
They are really enjoying the lessons..... well, Brooklen doesn't like Wednesdays-- Wednesday's are back swim days, but they are getting better :)

Denver Nuggets Game

Took the kiddos to their 1st Denver Nuggets game last night.  They had a FUN time!  They were just cheering away!!  "Go Nuggets" it was super cute!  The tickets I got were a family fun pack, so they weren't the best seats in the house, but each ticket came with a meal-- great deal!
At half-time we met up with Steve & Brady, then they came over and sat with us for the 3rd qtr, then had to go back to their seats :)
Nuggets beat the Orlando Magic 101-74

Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt!

Everyone smile :)

"Can we go, can we go?"........  "I can see eggs!"

"Can we go yet?"  No, still not time yet.... How about Mom takes another picture
Ok--Ready Set Go!

The egg hunt was a lot of fun! Kids had a blast, even though it was over in a flash!  It was also very good because we met some more people in the neighborhood..... including a babysitter!!!  Which means me & D.J. just might get to go out one of these nights :)
